Xgen

Xgen is an interactive real time grooming system. It was used in the making of disney's Zootopia. " the aim was to create something that the viewer felt like they could reach out and touch the animals." (Zootopia's Fur technology 2016)  During the making of Zootopia a lot of research went into looking at the structure of different types of fur and how it interacted with light.  Fur can bring a character to life.  You can use the default settings or create groomable splines this will allow you to customise the fur and groom it to suit the character.
