Simulation Two

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oOj-YGO7go

To create this simulation I used nParticles. I filled an object with the particles and used the attribute editor to adjust the settings so the simulation fell to the ground. To make the particles clump together I used a component to component constraint. I also animated the glue strength so as the simulation played different particles fell at different times.

This simulation can be used in a number of ways. It could be used in a music video or in a film. To improve my version I would make the sand grains finer.

To create the rain effect I used nparticles again.I also used a collision plane at the bottom so the rain particles could bounce and create a splash effect . The collision plane was created by adding a collision collider constraint to the plane in the nparticle menu.
